Chelsea Women v Tottenham Hotspur Women live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time: Chelsea 6-2 Tottenham. Carpenter capped off a stunning afternoon with her second of the game in stoppage time, turning home Walsh's pass to put the gloss on a brilliant display. After James and Vinberg traded first-half goals, Chelsea simply overwhelmed Spurs after the break, with Carpenter, James, Nüsken and Hamano all finding the net before Gaupset's late reply briefly threatened a fightback. A ruthless second-half performance sends Chelsea to a thumping win at Stamford Bridge.

A frantic finish at the Bridge - Hamano curls in a superb right-footed effort from outside the box after Thompson's assist to make it 5-1, but Spurs hit straight back through Gaupset to keep a flicker of pride intact. Chelsea remain firmly in control as we head into the closing stages.

Chelsea have blown this wide open in the space of five minutes! James raced onto Bronze's pass to make it 3-1 before Nüsken, on for Malard, finished off Walsh's lovely through ball for 4-1. Spurs are reeling now, with Chelsea's fresh legs from the bench running the show.

Chelsea are back in front! Carpenter bursts forward to finish off Thompson's fast-break pass, slotting left-footed into the high centre of the goal after a rapid counter. Spurs had been enjoying a good spell with Tandberg and Vinberg both forcing saves from Hampton, but Chelsea's clinical edge has restored their lead.

Spurs are level almost straight from that chance, with Vinberg glancing a header beyond Hampton after a let-off at the other end. Chelsea will be frustrated to have surrendered their lead so soon after Buchanan's header went close, and it's finely poised heading into first-half injury time.

Chelsea keep the pressure on after James' opener, with Hampton needing to be alert to deny Pelova moments later. Spurs are still finding joy on the break though, and Malard's effort was the latest to be snuffed out as Chelsea push for a second.

Chelsea have edged this opening quarter, shading possession and forcing the better chances at Stamford Bridge. James and Malard have both tested Kop, with Bronze also glancing a header narrow from a McCabe cross, while Gaupset's early effort was comfortably held by Hampton. Spurs have had their moments through Holdt and Pelova but it's Chelsea's two corners and extra shots that tell the story so far.
